Utilization of recycled brick waste for growing the agricultural plants
Šmírová, Barbora ; Másilko, Jiří (referee) ; Opravil, Tomáš (advisor)
The master thesis follows up on previous bachelor thesis, which dealt with the sorption capacity of brick recyclate. Brick recyclate, as same as brick, excel with very high porosity. For this reason this work deals with possible implementation of plant growth aids (fertilizers) on the inside surface of such highly porous material This thesis studies possibilities of preparation of brick recyclate with the content of components supporting plant growth. It is a material, that is able to bind water in the soil and nourish cultivated plants at the same time. Aim of the work is to find out, what maximum amount of supporting substances, that later will be released back into surrounding enviroment (soil), is possible to incorporate into the brick recyclate. Such prepared recyclate was added in different amounts into predefined substrates, where plants were grown. Subsequently, the growth course, germination and yields of selected crops were monitored. It was verified that the material based on recycled brick enriched with nutrients improves the distribution of nutrients in the soil and positively affects the germination, growth and yields of tested crops.
The Plant Experimental Models in Centuries - till 1918
Bršťáková, Hana ; Krtková, Jana (advisor) ; Lipavská, Helena (referee)
By 1918, many studies in plant organisms were performed. These laid fundamental building blocks for today's advanced research. To perform the experiments, many plant species were used. My thesis describes, first, which plant species were used in the experiments and second, what kind of discovery was made using them. I focus on plant processes and research fields that were of interest for the scientists then and this strucrure is also followed in my thesis. Each chapter describing individual process or research field is then written in chronological order. Specifically, the discovery of plant cell, selected plant movements such as nutation, phototropism, gravitropism, hydrotropism, plant nutrition and also the first scientific observation of Arabidopsis thaliana are discussed. The goal of this thesis is to introduce the history of selected discoveries in plants and to explain in which plant species the appropriate findings were achieved.
Applying new approaches in potato crop nutrition
RŮŽIČKA, Jan
The main objective of the bachelor thesis was to conduct a literature review in the field of fertilization and nutrition of the potato plant and to collect and sort information on new approaches used in potato cultivation. The thesis describes the methods of fertilization and nutrition with organic fertilizers, inorganic fertilizers (including essential elements) and their effect on potato growth and quality. Furthermore, the possibilities of using microbial and biochemical approaches to improve potato nutrition and their advantages or disadvantages are presented. The paper also presents opportunities to improve fertilizer use and minimize negative environmental impacts using new technologies and innovative practices. Finally, three practical examples from potato farms are presented.
Porovnání různých způsobů hnojení a přihnojování okrasných dřevin ve školce
Brejchová, Lucie
The thesis deals with the issue of plant nutrition, fertilization, and additional fertilization of ornamental tree species in the nursery and provides an overview of the range of fertilizers that can be used just for nursery production. The tree production methods in the ornamental tree nursery have been described and part of the work is dedicated to substrates, plant pots and irrigation. In addition, attention is paid to the nutrient intake by plants and the demands of ornamental tree species on nutrients. The work is also dedicated to the fertilizing systems when growing tree species in pots and in free soil.
Uplatnění fosforu a draslíku na výnos a kvalitu kukuřice seté
Maňásek, Josef
Over the past 20 years the approach to fertilisation of most of the crops on agricultural land has changed considerably. Complex nutrition has unfortunately gradually changed into one-sided nitrogen fertilisation; to a very limited extent also applying phosphorus and potassium. Other macro-nutrients are usually used for fertilisation only very sporadically and on a long-term basis only more deepening the deficit of nutrients in the soil and decreasing the soil reaction (pH).
The yield and quality of spring barley in depending on nitrogen fertilization
MACHALOVÁ, Tereza
This diploma thesis deals with nitrogen fertilization of spring barely for malting purposes. The aim of this work was to compare two types of fertilization, areal and variable applications, variety Laudis 550. There were different pre-crops, the first option had corn and the second potatoes as a pre-crop. The result took place using field measurements of yield elements, laboratory measurements and economic evaluation. In the final assessment of the data from this experiment, it was found that variable applications of nitrogen fertilizers are a positive agrotechnical procedure in spring barley. Variable applications result in higher yield and malting quality.
Porovnání různých technologií setí řepky ozimé
Chrastinová, Nicole
Winter rape is a crop that we cultivate both in traditional and minimizing technology. The economy of minimizing technology is hidden in the high performance of shallow soil tillage machines. If we want to have a well-established growth we have to deal with these problems: suitable bulk weight of soil and size of soil aggregates, good processing of post-harvest residues, prevention of weed growth and sowing in the right agrotechnical term with seed distribution according to sowing technology.
Perspektivní hnojiva pro produkci okrasných dřevin v kontejnerech
Plchová, Andrea
The task of this work was to evaluate the prospective use of fertilizers in containerproduction and their impact on ornamental trees. The experiment was established in April 2011 on the land department the Faculty of Horticulture in Lednice in one growing season. It was used five variants of substrates. For variant I was used peat-bark substrate (RKS II), which was regularly fertilizing with Kristalon fertilizer. For variant II was used substrate RS II with Osmocote. For the other three variants was used substrate RS II with low content (var. III), medium content (var. IV) and high content of organic fertilizers (var. V). Experimental plant was Philadelphus x hybr. 'Mont Blanc'. During the growing season was measured the plant height, at the end of the vegetation was measured strength of the root neck, root volume and number of stems. The variant II with Osmocote achieved the best results, the control variant I reached the second best results. The variants III, IV and V with organic fertilizers fell the worst, the variant III with low content of organic fertilizers fell the worst of all.
Vliv externích faktorů na produkci vybraných sekundárních metabolitů u konopí
Palíšek, Ondřej
Presented diploma thesis is focused on production of secondary metabolites under influence of external factors.in cannabis (Cannabis sativa L.). Theoretival part contains phylogenetical, morphological and botanical characterization of the given species. The part is further expanded by description of major cannabis constituents and their biosynthetic pathways. In the end of the chapter, methods for elicitation are described. Main goal of the experimental part was to compare influence of vaious fertilizers and product containing coloid silver on morphological characteristics and selected secondary metabolites content. Highest yield was observed within plants fertilized by Powder Feeding. Highest THC content was observed in plants fertilized by Jungle in da Box. Variation of height, yield and secondary metabolites within experimental population was observed, however was not statistically conclusive. Influence of Altron Silver was not statistically proven.
